Poems. Grandchildren. Funny.
Today, I’m initiating a series about grandparents and grandchildren in poems. Funny, sad, warm.
There will be poems for grandchildren to give their grandmothers or grandfathers, poems reminding grandmothers or grandfathers how lucky they are, and poems to say goodbye.
Sometimes when the heart is full, only a poem will do.
This poem was written by a grandfather about his toddler granddaughter.
Mealtime Makeover
She’s got egg on her face
Oateal smeared on her arms
Somehow it just seems
To enhance her charms.
